Meet Robin: Our Puppy Ambassador and Her Growing Up Journey

There's nothing quite like a new puppy joining the family, the big paws, the floppy ears, the boundless curiosity and, in Robin's case, a serious love of dinnertime.

We're delighted to introduce Robin, a gorgeous Springer Spaniel who will be joining the Just For Friends family over the coming months. We'll be following her progress as she grows from a playful puppy into a young working dog, all while fuelled by our natural puppy food.

Who is Robin?

Robin is 11 and a half weeks old and comes from Lillywalter Gundogs. She lives with her owner Zea, who will be sharing regular photos of Robin's adventures as she grows.

If there's one thing you need to know about Robin already, it's that she is very much food obsessed. Mealtimes are the highlight of her day, and she's not above helping herself if she thinks dinner is running late.

That makes her the perfect puppy to help us show what a good, natural diet can do for a growing dog.

Why follow a puppy's progress?

Puppies grow at an incredible rate. In the first few months they change almost week by week, and what they eat during this time plays a huge part in how they develop.

A growing puppy needs the right balance of protein, healthy fats and nutrients to support:

  • Strong muscles and healthy bones
  • Plenty of energy for playing, exploring and learning
  • A healthy coat and skin
  • Good digestion as their tummy gets used to new foods

Springer Spaniels are active, intelligent and full of energy, so getting their nutrition right from the start helps set them up for a happy, healthy life, whether they're working in the field or simply enjoying family walks.

By following Robin's journey, we want to give puppy owners a real, honest look at what those early months are like and how a natural diet can support every stage.

What's in Robin's bowl?

Robin is fed on our Just For Friends Puppy Grain Free Recipe, which is deliciously hypo-allergenic and made with 29% protein and 19% fat to support growing puppies.

Like all our food, it's made with natural ingredients and without unnecessary fillers. Being grain free, it's gentle on sensitive tummies while still giving busy puppies everything they need to grow.

And judging by Robin's enthusiasm, she thoroughly approves.

What to expect from Robin's journey

Over the coming weeks and months, we'll be sharing regular updates here on the blog and across our social media channels, including:

Growing up milestones. From her first walks to her first birthday, we'll celebrate all the big moments along the way.

Mealtime moments. Plenty of photos of Robin enjoying her food (and patiently, or not so patiently, waiting for it).

Out and about. Action shots of Robin playing, exploring and, as she gets older, starting her training.

Puppy feeding tips. Helpful advice for new puppy owners on portion sizes, feeding routines and moving from puppy food to adult food when the time is right.
